Mitra has been a nurse midwife for eighteen years. Attending over 5000 births, she feels blessed to have worked with so many wonderful families. Mitra continues her passion to empower women in their health decision-making, during their reproductive life span and beyond.

Mitra was born in Tehran, Iran, where she completed primary school before moving to Atlanta as a teenager. She is fluent in Farsi.
